Who is responsible for isolating Live Overhead Electrical Equipment, [OLE]. Is it the Nominated Person?

I have only ever worked in Conductor Rail areas.

ECO? NP? iso?

ECO - Electric Control (Room) Operator

Works in the electrical control, responsible for safely taking isolations, remote switching, turning power off in an emergency. Some of the newer Route Operations Centres include the electrical control within - Didcot for example.

NP - Nomimated Person

Works in a possession/worksite; responsible for requesting an isolation, placing earths etc.
