Hi all, hope everyone's doing well.
This' my first post here, and I was hoping to get some insight into the daily ongoings of being an OLE Technician based at a depot.
For context, I'm due to have my 2nd interview for Colas Rail to be an OLE technician apprentice based at Old Oak Common, installing the new catenary systems as part of the redevelopment for HS2. I was told that during the week, the technicians do a lot of daytime planning & preparation to work the weekend possessions, which are nights.
1. How would the shift pattern work if you work days during the week, and engineering works on the weekends? Could it be a rolling shift pattern? I'm so confused.
2. Any insights from people who have worked for or with Colas Rail? Good benefits, nice culture, pay?
Thanks.
