OLE configuration on Fen Line

On the single track sections north of Littleport there's an ancillary wire affixed to the single track cantilever stanchions with what I assume are 25kV-resistant insulators. The line is set up for classic feeding (return conductor + booster transformers), so what is the purpose of said wire?

To provide a back up in case the OLE comes down when a feeder station is out.

Can't think of any other line with a similar arrangement. Then again, significant lengths of electrified single track line are a bit rare. Maybe the lines to Largs or Wemyss Bay have it?

I don’t know, but do either of them have a feeder station at the far end?

Indeed they do not, some quite impressively long feeding distances in this area though.
