This is a post about part of Willesden that has vanished.
Does anyone remember Taylors Lane and Westbury Road before they rebilt it.
Taylors Lane once had at least two corner shops, one was a newsagent called Davis, also an off licence on the corner of Westbury Road.
My grandmother used to live in Westbury Road until they rebuilt it.
Other buildings i can remember in Westbury Road was a garage next to the off licence what the garage was called i can't remember.
At the end of Westbury Road was an old swimming pool that got bombed in the War.
The house my grandmother lived in was two stories high she lived in the lower flat, there was a toilet outside, which everybody had to use.
The railway ran at the end of the road.
I also remember church road shops before they pulled them down and built the new road.
I was told they once ran buses from the Westbury Road garage how true it was I don't lnow.
