Old VHS Videos - Anyone Interested in Them?

Just about to send a dozen old Videos off to the tip unless anyone is interested in them.

Dated from the mid 80's. Titles such as Railscene 1 to 4, Great Western BBC Video, and a few American ones.

I tried local railway societies, but they were not interested.

Try offering them to a local charity shop . I still see occasional video tapes in such shops.

Most in my area have had signs for a couple of years now stating they won't accept them.

I have a couple of VHS tapes because I liked hem when I was younger and still have them including Thunderbirds ahaha
It's great how you could continue watching from where you left off without having o search through scene selections

You could always have them "DVD'd", of course. But only if they were of sufficient interest obviously.

I chucked out a load of quite good railway VHS tapes recently - I object to having to pay to put them onto DVD.

I haven't been able to bin my Echo and the Bunnymen VHS, I don't watch it, but I cannot part with it. Too many memories I guess.

I'm slightly baffled as to why you might expect it to be done for free?!

It is easy to do it yourself if you have a DVD recorder and still have a VHS player - just connect one to the other.

I have a combined VCR and DVD recorder that has more than paid for itself in transferring all the VHS tapes I wanted to keep in digital form. This also works with my Camcorder and film projector to transfer my home cine films.
