My friend and I are writing a book about the Ravenglass locos past and present and came across a few we had never heard of. Has anyone got information about Wall Autowheel Scooter, Doctor Diesel and New Brighton Diesel

Wall Autowheel. In the 1920's the R&ER constructed several scooters, mainly for PW and mail work, this unit was basically a 4 wheel trolley powered by an engine of the same name. It had a short life, not surviving a head on collision with Sans Pareil, but had proved its usefulness

New Brighton diesel - R&H loco aquired in 1965 along with three carriages from a minature railway operated by Billy Mann within his Pleasure Garden on the Wirral peninsula https://www.roydutton.co.uk/the-tower/

Edit - this line closed 1965. The coaches were known as the Jaywick saloons because of the railway they were built for, which was closed in 1939, then going to New Brighton after the war

An Internet search has produced the following about Doctor Diesel (there may be more information but I haven't looked any further). Based at Steamtown, Carnforth it apparently visited the R & ER for a diesel gala in 1988:

You did better than me, as all I could find was car mechanics.

Suggest Davie's book to the OP, the railway also had a (presumably) ex WDLR Crewe tractor and another home made scooter known as The Scott being powered by a Scott Squirrel 2 stroke engine based on a bogie and given a homemade body.

The history of the R&ER I/C units seems even more fascinating than the steam locos
