Couldn't find a good place to start with the enabling works on the GWML for Old Oak Common "conventional" station, so here goes.
Colas Rail & the South Rail System Alliance (SRSA; of which Colas is a part) have been doing a fair bit of tweaking on the GWML to allow work at OOC to begin.
Their most recent update is this: https://www.linkedin.com/posts/sout...=linkedin_share&utm_medium=member_desktop_web
The team have also installed new switches west of Acton Main Line to facilitate easier isolations around OOC: https://cutt.ly/xOvt1sO.

Looks like the headspan shortening follows the removal of the old reception line for OOC EMU depot (Reception Line 1) and plain-lining of all associated S&C. The two headspans in the pictures, J05/29 (1st pic) & J05/26 (2nd pic) were both 5-track and will now be 4-track.South Rail Systems Alliance said:Old Oak Common Continue To Make Progress!
#TeamOOC have been been working hard on the Early Works Package A for the new rail systems alignment of the Great Western Main Line!
Over the last few weeks the team have:
✅Completed installing 1000m of ground and elevated trough route for the ATF and run out all the cables
✅Installed two new OLE structures to facilitate a headspan shortening
✅Installed two new OLE structures to transfer to a portal in the coming weeks
Keep up the great work team!
