Old Leeds Coach Company

Can anyone help with the name of an old Leeds coach company? They had blue coaches and had a small bus garage based oppoiste Elland Road football ground between the Old Peacock and what was the petrol station (now Subway). I think it was called Anglio Blue, but no too sure. National Express coaches sometimes swapped drivers there too.

AJC Coaches, which also traded as Angloblue.

They ran buses in Leeds in the 90s as well

I'd forgotten all about AJC Coaches - used to work with them in a previous life. Didn't know they were also Angloblue though,

the bus operation was Quickstep travel (bought out by Yorkshire rider/badgerline??)their main route was Leeds city centre to Arlington business centre using Leyland nationals

Actually thinking about it I think Yorkshire Rider sold its “Gold Rider” coaching business to AJC/Angloblue, in exchange for Angloblue’s competitive bus services in Leeds

Yorkshire Rider then folded the ex Angloblue services into the low cost Quickstep Travel business, which they had acquired earlier.

In the mid/late 70's it was Stanley Fallas.
Owner drove a Rolls Royce-was on the books as occasionally hired out

I don't suppose anyone knows what year they moved to the garage on Elland Road? Think it shut down in the late 90's/00's. I assume this is when the company was sold/ceased operation?

I do remember getting on the bus from Leeds to Beeston during the 90's. Always knew it terminated somewhere in Beeston, but never knew where until someone just mentioned the Arlington centre. I assume it was pre 1996, when the White Rose Centre opened?

AJC had the NX Leeds-London 561 contract for some time. Despite living almost adjacent to their depot, I never worked for them - was at Dewsbury Arriva/Woollen on 240 NX Flightlink in the 90s.
