just been watching a few youtube videos featuring the SNCF in the seventies and eighties, reliving my youthful travels around Europe.

Does anyone know what happened to the Fench coaching stock pre Corail? Did any see further service in Eastern Europe or the French colonies, or did it all get scrapped?

Anything in preservation?

Most of it has been scrapped. I don't remember of any being sold abroad, excepted a few ex tee coaches sold to Cuba.

some Bruhats went to Albania and some stock was regauged and used in Francophone West Africa.

Plenty of examples in preservation

Some ex RIO or RIB coaches, I think. Sold with locs of the same generation.

There is an INOX carriage in excellent external condition at Villeneuve St George's in Paris in the middle of a load of Corail stock close to the RER Line D and its in a photographable position from passing trains if anyone wants to have a try... Upper deck north side would be needed...

Definitely two DEV coaches in the auto train yard at Frejus St Raphael. Not in such pristine condition and people living in them.

Sorry, some multiple posting of pictures there.

I forgot to mention a few wagons-lits from SNCF sent south to form the former, now gone, dostuk-filia express between Istanbul and Thessaloniki. Not sure this train will ever come back - and no way to cross this border by rail anymore now - and no idea what happened to those cars after this train stopped working.
