Looking back I saw there used to be a direct Edinburgh - Wick service. Does any one have the timings of this service? Thanks

I believe it only ran on a limited basis, and took around 6 hours

Must have been more than 6 hours.
Edinburgh to Inverness is (or was) almost 4 hours then Inverness to Wick is another 4. All depends on how many stops etc. but 6 hours would have been heroic indeed and probably breaking every speed limit by a wide degree. It would mean 2 hours Edinburgh to Inverness for starters !

Was one on the 2003 timetable, effectively just combining an Edinburgh-Inverness with an Inverness-Wick but advertised as a through service. There was also a Glasgow-Kyle; Kyle-Edinburgh and Wick-Aberdeen in the same timetable.

1340 off Edinburgh, arrive Inverness 1707/depart 1730, arrive Wick 2130.
