Old car registration plates

In my shed I have a number plate from nearly every car I have owned (they are the trailer board plates).
For nostalgia's sake I would like to find out which car each plate belonged to,
Is there any way to do that?

Following Gov.UK link will certainly let you check basic details for the past 45 years ago, if not longer than that.

Just type in the old reg plate number(s)...

https://www.caranalytics.co.uk/ is also good. For more recent cars, you also get the date for the last change for the vehicle registration document and when it was last taxed.

That gets them all but one. By elimination I find that was a Golf GTI which I know was exported to France.
Would that take it of the UK database
