Off peak to Clacton on Sea

Looking at Journey planner the first off peak ticket single available form Liverpool St. to Clacton is for the 12.18. (£29.60) For all services vefore that only an anytime is available (£35.00) The off peak rare shown, by checking other tickets is £39.80. Surely the £29.60 should be available on all services from the 09.18 service and all following?

Am I being Stupid or is something wrong there?

There is no Off Peak single for this flow.

The only single fares available for this flow are Anytime Day and Super Off Peak Day.

The Super Off Peak Single is not valid on trains timed to depart Liverpool St:

• after 0429 and before 1200;
• after 1500 and before 1902

Was there recently a fare that was valid from 0918? Do you know what it was called and what price it was?

Thanks, I was misinformed, or misunderstood, a GA guard who told me that all services out of Liverpool Street after 0900, I now suspect he was talking about Norwich services.

There, according to journey planner) is an off peak single priced at £39.80, I can't imagine many buying it. This is the same fare as an off peak return.
