Bit of a daft question from me here, but are off peak tickets valid before 0929 on Saturdays?

It depends on the ticket but it's very rare for an off peak return to be invalid on a weekend (or public holiday).

i.e. most off peak returns are valid at any times on weekends

You've not said where you are travelling from or to, so we can't look up the actual restriction applicable to your ticket (you could look it up yourself on Indigio2's website http://www.brfares.com/ if you like) however a ticket of the type named in the thread title, Off Peak Return (SVR) will be valid all day Saturdays and Sundays.

The vast majority, but not all, off peak tickets are valid any time on Saturdays and Sundays.

Indeed, there are plenty of off-peak tickets valid at a time before 0930 on weekdays too.
