Off-peak Return

I've just booked an off-peak return, New Mills to Leeds for Saturday, returning Sunday. Sadly I've had a complete brain freeze and cannot remember if it is permitted to get any valid train on the outward leg (either via Manchester or Sheffield), or the itinerary specified when I purchased the tickets? I know the return leg is any train, but cannot remember if the outward is as well! I've not made any reservations, so I assume I'm free to pick any train(s) I want?
