Off Peak Return Clarification needed

I need to travel from Manchester to Letchworth on Friday 28th Sep
and return from Stevenage to Manchester on Saturday 29th September.

Off Peak Return tickets (with senior rail card) are available for the times I wish to travel.
Man-Let Return £55.10
Man -SVG Return £55.10.

If I buy the Man-Let return am I allowed to go through the barriers at Stevenage on Saturday to make the return journey.

The Conditions seem to indicate this is allowed

Break of journey
Break of journey is allowed on the outward portion of Off-Peak tickets unless otherwise indicated by a restriction shown against the ticket's validity code and in all cases on the return portion of Off-Peak return tickets.

You may start, break and resume, or end your journey at any intermediate station along the route of travel on Off-Peak tickets unless the ticket restriction for the journey you are making does not allow it. If you intend to start, break and resume, or end your journey at any intermediate station, please call 08457 48 49 50 to check if it is available on your specific journey.

NOTE: Cross London transfers will not be accepted by London Underground during this extension period.

Well, the easement was altered recently, but Letchworth is still okay:

Customers travelling from Cambridge, Foxton, Shepreth, Meldreth, Royston, Ashwell & Morden, Baldock and Letchworth to Arlesey, Biggleswade, Sandy and beyond may double back between Hitchin and Stevenage. This easement applies in both directions.

I'm assuming the OP will travel Manchester-Peterborough-Stevenage-Letchworth?

As the Any Permitted ticket is cheaper than the Not Via London (source: brfares), they could also go via Euston, in which case unquestionably yes!
