Off-peak restrictions

Hi.

A friend is traveling from st leonards warrior square (slq) to gatwick (gtw) and back a week later.

I was looking at ticket options and there is a £29.80 anytime return and a £24 off-peak return. Apon inspection of the off-peak return I cannot find any restrictions on time of use.

Can someone confirm that the off-peak return can be used at anytime.

The £24 ticket has a restriction code of '4C', which translates to:

Restriction Code: 4C

OUTWARD TRAVEL:
By any train. Break of journey
is not permitted except to
change trains at an
intermediate station or to
access station facilities.

RETURN TRAVEL:
By any train.

Looks like the only restriction on that ticket is no break of journey outward
