Why may I ask, is there no such thing as an Off-Peak return from Barrhill to Stranraer. All ticketing websites I have checked only offer anytime returns. And I have checked for a Sunday so there is no chance that I have been searching during a peak period. Please enlighten me...

Why there isn't one I'm not sure, short of just saying there's never been one and there is no real incentive for ScotRail to create one, but surprisingly enough for such a short journey there definitely isn't (except the Kid with Adult, which is off peak, but there's no off-peak ticket to go with it), it isn't a problem that is stopping it from appearing for a strange reason.

It is definitely surprising. You would think that there would be an incentive for Scotrail now that the ferries have left to reduce ticket prices to encourage more locals and tourists to travel on the route.
