A crisp packet caused me to miss my train!
I travelled from Preston to Conway Park via Ormskirk yesterday. However it was the first time I had taken a dog on a train with me. All was well (apart from the lack of legroom on a Northern 153) until I alighted at Moorfields and tried to take the lift (not fancying taking the hound on the escalator) from the Northern line to the Wirral line. The lift doors closed and the voice said we were going down, but the lift didn't move and the doors opened. This happened a couple of times before I noticed a crisp packet on the floor where the door closes into the frame. I kicked the crisp packet away and off we went, just missing a West Kirky service by seconds. No great harm done as the New brighton service is only 10 minutes behind, but I amused me that a crisp packet made me miss the train
