odd fares : welham green/Hatfield-Derby/matlock

Found some odd fare differences on my Advantix fares CD (NFM04) for the following journey:

Hatfield Herts (or any other GN station up to Stevenage) - Matlock:
route Not London

SOR is £57

Same journey - again route Not London, but starting at Welham Green, brookmans Park or Potters Bar SOR is £111 !!!

why the £54 fare increase to get from Welham Green to Hatfield ????!
The same thing happens if the destination is Derby.

Also, the Any permitted SOR (i.e. valid via London) from Hatfield is cheaper than that from Potters Bar !

No suggestions why, but the same prices show up in NFM03.

Because the people who calculate the fares couldn't organise a *iss up in a brewery.

The entire fare system in this country needs reviewing. Might be worth a new thread to gather ideas on a new fare structure. Cost per mile, by class, by train type, by time for example.
