Odd diagram?

Any ideas as to why the 16.07 Leedr to Manchester vic fast was formed of 2x150/2's? Didn't see numbers but one was a half+half ex-lm set (150210,150220,150226). The other was a northern livered one with pink welcome to yorkshire branding.
