Obscure Description or Fact

As is the case with many quizzes and games in the Quiz Forum, the objective here is to name the station in question. This time, the question poser has to provide an Obscure Description or Fact about the previous station, which other posters then have to match to a different station. Then, an Obscure Description or Fact is provided about the new station, for others to again match, and so on. It is qute possible for several stations to fit the criteria!

Example: Brighton Immediately to the east on the north-eastern branch is a station called London Road.
Answer: Guildford (The person who called Guildford then provides an Obscure Description or Fact about it.)

Let's see where this goes

'Go West' is a song on Pet Shop Boys' album 'Very', this leads us (roughly) to Euston*, a station with 18 platforms...

*This is a bit of a cheeky rule manipulation on my own admission, but it's the best I could do!

London Liverpool Street, another station with 18 platforms, features a city in its name other than the one it serves.

Redditch is the southern terminus of the Cross-City line. When first electrified, it was possible to catch a 310 to Lichfield (how tenuous is that!). New fact about Redditch, the current station is on the other side of the road bridge to where the old through station was.

When Belfast Great Victoria Street was reopened it was also built on the other side of a road bridge to where the old station had been.

New fact about Belfast GVS. It was once the city's terminus for its main inter city route, but is no longer.

Haymarket is the only station in Scotland connected to the next station with 4 tracks. But to link it to the next one, would be Haymarket on Tyne and Wear As it amazingly has the same name!!!
