I'm planning a trip in Austria next month and have a 4 minutes cross platform change at Schwarzach St Veit. While of course nothing is certain, would those who use OBB consider this doable? From what I can work out this is an official connection with journey planners showing it. (from the 13.09 arrival from Salzburg onto the 13.13 depature to Zurich).

Thanks!

Where does your Salzburg train originate from? If it’s from Germany, I might be worried about the connection, as long distance services via Germany can be a bit unreliable.
edit: looks like it’s IC596 starting in Salzburg, which seems quite reliable. See zugfinder for punctuality stats:
and your Zurich cinnection EC164 is due in first, at 1305, so don’t panic if you see it already in the station!

I did this connection the other week and the zurich train was late so made it with ease

It is an official connection, so 164 will certainly wait for a Short Delay - but Not much more than a few minutes. Since the 13:09 Starts in Salzburg, it is not likely to be much delayed.
