Thing is, it has really serious implications for them despite being hilariously funny, the huge clunk of the armour being the funniest.

Generally, when any dignitary is visiting a foreign country, the relevant security authority will do a sweep of the area, sometimes this is performed days in advance though. Imagine if in between the sweep and the visit, someone wanting to cause an ambush could in theory make such a ramp to stop the car and then attack.

Highly unlikely of course, but all movements should have been planned and rehearsed ahead of time, this should not normally get past them.

I'd rather have the BBC than the Daily Mail - I've read some misinformed crap over the years in that. I once read an article about a Ryanair incident, the pilots had done a very good job and followed all the correct procedure, yet the Fail ripped them to shreds just because they don't like them!

At least the BBC actually does some research - the Mail rarely gets anything right about transport. Plus, they're ridiculously obsessed with immigrants and asylum seekers.

Well, it's probably for the best. But there is no way the Daily Mail is better at reporting than the BBC. I don't care at all that the Mail is right wing - all newspapers have bias. It's just that the Daily Mail is generally bad at reporting.
