With this combination of tickets, would it be alright to travel via Leicester outbound, returning via Corby using the X4 bus to Peterborough? Purchasing a separate ticket for the bus of course.
There's only one train per day between Kettering and Oakham via Corby, but I'm guessing it's still a permitted route all day. Then I'd end the journey (of the Oakham-Wellingborough ticket) short at Corby and resume (with the Ely-Peterborough ticket) at Peterborough.

Peterborough to Oakham Off-Peak Day Return Restriction BX applies (a single is less than £1 cheaper and it's a pain to get any ticketing site to offer it)
Oakham to Wellingborough Off-Peak Return Travel is allowed via any permitted route. Restriction 2O applies
Also please let me know if there's a better combination of tickets than this for this specific journey. There aren't any day returns between CBG and WEL which is why there's a bunch of splits.
