A short train ride over to Leeds this afternoon to see 60007 Sir Nigel Gresley with 5Z07 0930 Crewe H.S. to Grosmont for the Steam gala this month, sadly there was a diesel on the front 37667 Flopsie

It was held at the signals for a late running Cross Country train (nothing new there!!)

2392 has now returned. 92134 failed the other day and was hauled by 926 Repton. 563 has arrived and moved to Grosmont today

563 was rather slow on its trip to Grosmont delayed us by 35 mins so rest of days timetable is likely to be running late

The gala timetable on the website tells you which coach set is on which services, but not what the sets are. I'm assuming TK is the teak set though. What forms sets A, B, W1 and W2 and how many vehicles are they?

I'm considering a day trip to the gala on Saturday, particularly to see 92134 disguised as 92079 banking trains from Grosmont.

The loco was on a gauging exercise as never been on the line before so slowly does it particularly platforms.

First of 2 days at the NYMR Autumn Steam Gala on Thursday, I couldn't believe the crowds. It was packed, standing room only on the morning departures from Pickering.
3 Guest locos were the beautifully restored ex NRM LSWR T3 class William Adams T3 No. 563 built in 1893, Gresleys masterpiece A4 Locos, 60007 Sir Nigel Gresley

92134 will be replaced by 44806 tomorrow

Yeah, it failed on Saturday in the afternoon but I'm not sure what happened.

It was supposed to do the 17:15 to Pickering but that ended up being worked by Pendennis Castle and arrived over half an hour late (19:07 rather than the planned 18:28)

44806 worked the 18:15 to Pickering, which should have been Pendennis.

I stayed overnight at the Wentworth arms at Malton Thursday to Friday before another day at the NYMR Steam Gala.
Today i just decided to spend a few hours at Levisham, mainly to see the 2 Southern Locos double heading Adams T3 563 & Maunsell Schools Class 926 Repton
