Just to let everyone know 92214 Cock o' the north is planned to overhauled at ICI wilton.

This is true as i heard it from the owner myself, stuart whitter

Because the middle driving wheel would not stay on the curves as they are too tight.

Interesting... out of curiosity how long has this restriction been in place? Is it network wide or specific routes?

I believe an exemption for the Esk Valley is being looked at very seriously to allow the 9F to travel to Whitby.

Not because of falling off on curves but due to the increasing amount of raised check rails being installed on pointwork.
The centre driving wheel is flangeless and as such there is a possibility that it could move over far enough to strike the raised check rail.
