Mostly Glasgow-ish. Mostly.
The Vignelli / Unimark subway map is remembered for being pretty unpopular when it first saw the light of day in 1972. It hung around for just a few years, not even lasting until the turn of the decade. Interesting to note MTA have brought back a tweaked version back to completely replace the 1979 Tauranac/Hertz map. It looks great and I hope the MTA's newest attempt to drag the subway into the 21st century sticks around this time.

That is definitely a massive improvement compared to the old one. The previous one was such a mess and so difficult to read or understand for those unfamiliar with the network. It definitely seems like an upgrade.

On top of all that, some disliked the Unimark map’s modern look and its colors. “I showed it to my mom and she said: ‘Why is the water brown?’” Berman says.
Insert joke about New York river pollution here.
