Following an exchange with NXEC Customer Relations regarding the Restaurant Service (see below), I wondered if any regular travellers might know how busy the Restuarant tends to be for breakfast on the 7:00 Leeds to London on weekdays (it comes from Bradford) under the new catering arrangements?

MY QUESTION:
After the changes you have made to catering, where a train is advertised
as having a restaurant, are standard class ticket holders allowed to use
the restaurant as previously?
If yes is it possible to get a reservation in the Restaurant?
THIER ANSWER:
The changes to the catering on board still allow standard class
passengers to dine. However first class passengers will be given first
choice, and if there is sill enough stock and time to serve more
passengers an announcement will be made inviting standard class
passengers to dine.
Passengers are unable to reserve seats in the restaurant.
