Yeah I think so, although I've never seen it being done during the peaks, as it is unnecessary slowing; they leave Driver to do it himself I think...

bit thick considering the size of the place, although, stopping at stevenage can be considered a bit thick, bit like all of the ECML timetable!

It has been known for trains to fail to stop at Tyseley/Small Heath in Birmingham, since only one train in three during the daytime service stops at those stations.
