NXEC Mallard seating plans

I wonder can anyone direct me to the Mallard seating plans for both HST and 225. They seem impossible to get online, didn't think they'd be particularly sensitive documents... Have got coach L reservations, HST L09A and 225 L09A for a trip north and back and wanted to confirm the seating pattern. Think these are individual seats but not totally sure

From memory NXEC no longer use F and B, all their seats are A
From the seating plans I have, both seats are facing London at the first table on the westside, at the toilet end

First Class between London and York is normally at or near capacity
Usually able to swap seats between York and Edinburgh, and definitely north of Edinburgh!

You're right about no F/B these days, I don't mind forward or rear facing anyway. I requested individual seat but don't really mind, if it's a table for 2 or 4 there's a bit more room to stick the laptop and while the hours away with a DVD or two.

Got the 1500 back from KGX to NCL yesterday, it was packed to the rafters First Class was just as bad, however the first stop was York and there were a few people departing there. The 2nd stop was Newcastle and it seemes the whole entire train emptied out and then filled back up again.

As to the seating plans, they were available up until last year but since the set changes(i.e coach lettering changes) they were pulled as they were innacurate.

I wrote to GNER and got mine within a few days
A new set for NXEC arrived within just a few days of the franchise starting, so I assume they are correct for the current trains and from what I have seen so far are
I feel sorry for staff using the booking system as all they get are the seat numbers, no plans, so not sure how they can be confident that the seat is indeed facing or back, window or aisle

I've now got quite a few seating plans
VT, AXC1, AXC2, NXEC, FCC, FGW, FSR, TPE, AW (excluding Class 150)

NXEA have advised me that they are about to realign their seat numbering, but that should be completed by next month; I've no idea what that is all about!

If you dont get a seat in FC do you get any form of compensation?

Reservations are recommended on most journeys

If you can't find a seat then you will be pointed to Standard
You can then claim for the difference in fare between Standard and First Class
That is the minimum basic compensation required to be offered

Terms vary by TOC and ticket type
With VT, if First Class is full and you have to take a seat in Standard then you will automatically qualify for £40 compensation, plus the difference in fare

I think it is interesting that these train companies do not have seating plans makes it difficult when booking tickets.

Can anyone help me I am booked on National Express East Coast First Class Coach L seats 15A & 17A on the electric train. Sames seats from Stevenage to york and on the return journey.

Can anyone advise what type of seats these will be is this a table for 2 or would it be a table of 4 with both passengers facing each other. I believe both would be window seats as they are odd number seats.

They should be window seats, facing each other, in a bay of 4.

Do you know how much exactly? Tables in/out?

I will need to compare them in finer detail, and reply back later, but I had noticed at least two of the coaches had changed presumably to bring the old Mallard layout inline with the new layout and HSTs
