NXEC have introduced a new at seat menu in first class. Some services still have the restaurant but the at seat menu is much more affordable and the food seems to be pretty good. I have tried it once so far. The only problem is that you have to be in first class to get it! I read in the NXEC magazine that a similar menu has been introduced to the cafe bar for standard class passengers but I don't see any mention of it on the website. Has anyone been on NXEC recently to see if I read that correctly?

I had the 'at seat' food in first class recently. Have to say the quality is not a patch on what the restuarant used to be, and carrying the food through up to three carriages must be tiresome for staff - our pudding ended up on the floor!
