NXEA Trainee Conductors

Ok so I really need a job and I look on the NXEA website thinking "Oh yeah, dream on" but there it is, my dream job (sad dream I know) being a conductor.

I'm only 18 and it's a trainee programme so I'm very excited. I really hope I get past the first stage of the recruitment process.

The only problem being that I don't drive and it says on the site you need to be able to get to the depot early in the morning and get back late at night. The only way of doing this would be a taxi for me which would be very expensive but I would actually consider paying it if it meant I could do this job.

Anyone at NXEA or have any advice? I'm probably setting myself up for a big fall here.

Why dont you invest in a moped that you can ride on a provisional license for now

You've got two options really, either take your Motorcycle Licence and get a small moped, or look for a Flat/House within walking distance of Norwich Station.

Norwich Guards start at around 4am and finish about Midnight so you've no chance of using public transport, except on the later starts.

it's a setback but try and do all you can to overcome it. good luck!
