I saw a poster the other day saying that those who have Gold Cards for NXEA get free weekend travel for their partner.

Does anyone have any more info on this offer as all I can find is this press release: http://www.nationalexpresseastangli...vestment_boost_for_national_express_customers

Do you need to obtain a certain ticket for them? Is it only valid on the route of the Gold Card? Does the Gold Card holder need to travel with them?

Its available to any annual season ticket holders, regardless of the route as long as it is valid on NXEA services.

The 'guest pass' is only valid on the route of the annual season at weekends and bank holidays accompanied by the season ticket holder, and is only valid on NXEA services. Where a season ticket goes outside of NXEA services, the guest pass will only be valid to the last station where the season is valid on NXEA services (ie Liverpool St for Zone 1)

Thanks. Do they need to get anything from the ticket office or can the couple just jump on?

Do you need a marriage/civil partnership certificate to prove your identity or can the guest pass be used by anyone?

And it can be a different person each week.

It says that any annual season ticket is allowed provided it can be used on NXEA services. Does that include an annual travelcard on an Oyster card, I wonder?
