NXEA Evening Peak Restrictions on 'Savers'

Probably one for Yorkie this.

IIRC the evening peak restrictions can apply from Liverpool Street on Off Peak Day Returns and Travelcards, along with what used to be called Savers, if the fare is set by NXEA.

If I have a Sudbury to Carlisle 'Saver' is the return valid at peak times from LST weekdays?

NXEA have no say in the Sudbury Suffolk to Carlisle Off Peak (formerly Saver) fare; it is set by Virgin West Coast.

Looking at NFM03, the fare (before any discount) is £110.20. It is only restricted in the morning peak out of Euston. Evening peak restrictions only apply out of King's Cross / St Pancras.

In any case, Sudbury is within the Network Area, and Carlisle is outside the Network Area, therefore the ticket is automatically valid on any train between Sudbury and London at any time.

I'd get a Gretna ticket instead though, it's a little cheaper (despite being further). It used to be completely unrestricted, even out of King's Cross, but they stopped that loophole about a year ago but didn't fix the price!
