Several people have been hospitalised in Norfolk this morning after a Scania Caetano Levante National Express coach (FJ09 DXE, #209 of Ambassador Travel) appears to have shunted a MAN Ecocity service bus (WX62 HGG, #104 of Anglian Bus). It happened on the A47 Acle Straight, both buses seem to have been heading west towards Norwich.

Three people have been taken to hospital following a crash between a bus and a coach which closed the A47 Acle Straight.

The road has now reopened following the crash, which happened at the Acle end just after 10.15am and involved an Anglian Bus and a National Express coach, which was heading to London.

Emergency services, including firefighters, the police and the East Anglian Air Ambulance, were called.

A spokesman for the East of England Ambulance Service said four ambulance crews, three ambulance officers and a rapid response vehicle attended the scene, which was about 100 yards from the Acle roundabout on the Norwich-bound carriageway.

The first ambulance was on the scene in under four minutes. Crews took three patients to the James Paget Hospital in Gorleston, all suffering from minor back and neck injuries...
If the pics are correct, the NX bus was in service as this morning's 491 from Great Yarmouth to London.

Firstly, healing thoughts go to the injured for a swift recovery. The Levante looks to have come off worse than the MAN but neither look a write-off.
