I travelled through here on New Year's Day and discovered a covered up new-looking speed sign at the embankment on the down line. Currently this line is 20/30mph, which appears to be a permanent restriction linked to the embankment, as the line speed just before and just after is 50mph. Does this indicate that work is being done to lift the speed restriction at this site (presumably reinforcing the embankment)?
