Hi all,

I'm looking for route advice for Nuneaton to Worcester, avoiding changing trains at Birmingham New Street. Is this possible?

Departing Nuneaton 04-12-2025 between 0900 and 1200.

Thank you in advance.

Avoiding a change at Birmingham New Street on a journey from Nuneaton to Worcester isn't possible in any practical sense.

Technically, it is possible to make a journey via Leamington Spa and Solihull or via Lichfield Trent Valley and University, but this needs a combination of tickets and would take some time

The connection at Tamworth is nearly an hour.

The forum ticketing site has an option to avoid changing at Birmingham New Street, and will try and find the best value ticket for this journey.
Generally, if you want to avoid changing at New Street, it'll be over an hour slower and cost around £10-20 more, so I'd only advise it if you are really against changing at New St.
Some options are:
- Changing at Tamworth and University
- Changing at Lichfield and Unversity
- Changing at Stafford and Smethwick Galton Bridge
- Changing at Leamington Spa and Solihull
For the first three options, you'll have to buy a ticket to Tamworth/Lichfield/Stafford and a ticket from Worcester from there - any split ticketing site will do this for you.

A 'West Midlands Day Ranger' at £36.00 would allow a fair degree of flexibility on the actual route taken. Valid midweek from 09:00.
