Seeing other threads regarding the WCML becoming a more of an inter regional route once HS2 opens, would it be ideal to reinstate the crossovers at the Southern end of the station to allow Coventry - Leicester/Anglia services to operate once again.

I know plans to reinstate a direct service between the 2 cities anyway (using a dive under and avoiding Nuneaton) appears from time to time but obviously the crossovers would allow a call at Nuneaton as they use to prior to 2004.

Probably go full circle and have a Coventry - Nottingham service again, to run in between the current Nuneaton - Coventry - Leamington Spa service giving a half hourly service between Coventry and Nuneaton (which is planned anyway once the bay is opened at Coventry).

Even if it does become an inter-regional route, you wouldn't want to start sticking in junctions that could foul it up. The dive under doesn't preclude you stopping at Nuneaton, just requires a reversal in a platform.
