This is the interior of a NSW V-set, 30 yr old EMUs reaching the end of their service lives. It is in fact the very carriage I’m sitting in whilst typing. Their last interior refit has caused some debate here but personally I love it. It’s also a smooth and quiet ride. I will be sad when they go.

The V sets are very much loved by passengers. The seats are comfortable and the ride is smooth.
The image is of the downstairs compartment.
The seats in the newer trains are unsprung and hard by comparison. For longer journeys they become uncomfortable.
The replacement trains for the V sets will have fixed direction seating and have already generated strong complaint. Expect to hear more.

One of the New Korean Trains is parked at Eveleigh Depot where the old rakes of XPT where parked for a Month or so a while back i think it tests nightly between St Marys and Blacktown.

Also Oscars appear to be stored daily at Penrith now again previously they all got stored at Blacktown after the Service was cut back to Blacktown-Central Coast.
