I imagine it's going back to Nemesis Rail for further works.
Probably something for someone to ask at the Bluebell today, but seeing as the rest of the unit has also moved south, is it possible that restoration will continue at the currently undisclosed private location? Seems a lot of effort to bring the DTC down to just send it straight back to where it came from. Makes more sense if it’s part of a move for the entire unit.

i Wouldn't presume so as according to the CIG Facebook group
"The other components are already on private land in Sussex and came down about a month ago."
So presumably 76048 will go to wherever the rest of the unit is located there.

The longer it can stay at the Bluebell railway platform, the easier it is for the NSE railway society group to work on it?
The NSE group does now seem more active on Facebook, plus at the gala and had a fundraising and info stand at Victoria.

From ZfB they seem to be keen on getting a Networker class 465 unit (465908 now in NSE livery) but might take a while as these will have a refresh before any new trains are built.

1753 is no longer in platform 2 dock at Sheffield Park.

It may or may not still be on the railway - I don't know.

I do not believe there would be any space on the Bluebell to form the work base of a restoration group for 1753. Platform 2 dock is shunted regularly as a base for operational stock to be stored in the short term. It's possible the 9F could be moved, but where to, I do not know.

All platforms at Horsted Keynes see services trains from time to time, regularly on 2 and 3, and occasionally on 1 and 4. Both are needed constantly as stock storage.

Space is especially at a premium at the moment as many of the up yard sidings at Horsted Keynes are lifted and/or unavailable.

No update on FB, so guess it has been sent to the private storage location with the other carraiges where the group can work on the units.
