Note to Mods: My appologies if this isn't the right place to put this, but seems appropriate

I was just on the National Rail Enquiries Site (NRE), trying to look up train times for a trip from Lowestoft (LWT) to Norwich (NRW), However, when it loaded the possible train times, and then when I clicked on the 14:58 departure, it then took me to the 22:40 departure, I have closed my browser and reloaded the page, but it doesn't seem to want to load the right train times.

They seem to be having some serious issues over there, whole pages and documents have gone missing. But this is the first I've heard of it spreading to the more 'everyday' functions of the site.

I had a smiliar problem the other day using the main site, it tried to get me to think I would have to wait 4 hours for a train. And trying to use the mobile site takes me to the main site, so I enter the journey details, click 'go' and then it takes me to the front page of the mobile site and I have to start all over again. A bit annoying really. Swearing at it doesn't seem to help either.

Indeed, I am looking at two possible trains to get, one is faster than the other, so clicked it to see why it was faster and it came up with a train 8 hours later!

I had that problem with Southern's mobile site journey planner last night where i clicked on a service and it gave me details of the last train of the day instead.

NRE somehow managed to change checking the details of a late morning Hastings to London Charing Cross service to one from Hastings to York (using the same service I wanted for the first leg). Worst of all, it didn't even apply my railcard discount! ;)

I've noted that all the TOC pages, some station pages and the station codes page are 404s. Is NRE restructuring their website?

I wanted to go from Harpenden to Betchworth and back the weekend before last and gave up in the end and went by car - NRE website was telling me to go via Sutton and Dorking despite that there was a rail replacement bus on this route - when I tried putting in "via Redhill" it wanted me to travel from Harpenden to St Pancras, tube to Elephant and Castle and then train from there to East Croydon - connecting with the train that had left Harpenden an hour later than the one it told me to catch!

Not sure if it was a fault with the site, or just bad programming of alterations due to engineering works though.

Hi all, just came across this thread. Sorry you appear to be having some issues with our website.

We're working on some redirects for URLs which aren't working. If any of you have specific problems you'd like me to address, please reply back & I'll see what I can do..

Cheers

One issue that has arisen lately is that the page with the National Rail Conditions of Carriage no longer works. As ATOC have withdrawn the paper copies and stations are extremely reluctant to print them out, this means passengers currently have no means of accessing the terms of the contract that their tickets are issued under.

I've broken my account appears on this site, so I'm now posting under my own name.

The conditions of carriage page is available here: http://www.nationalrail.co.uk/times_fares/46427.aspx

We're working on reinstating the short link too.

Hi, can you let me know what the webpage is that you're trying to access?

I was getting the same at the weekend on my mobile when trying to access current disruptions via my bookmark. They changed the end of the address from html to aspx and if you do the same it should work fine! Not sure why they changed it though?!

I've had a look around the site, including the Ask Lisa feature and the Search in the top right hand corner and could not find any way to locate navigate to the page you have linked, other than visiting the URL directly so I doubt anyone who does not visit this forum has any chance of finding it

Something else that recently went missing was the GroupSave calendar, which was deeplinked directly from some TOC's websites and in the Validity section of this page (link says "More Information")

On the mobile site, I no longer see the train companies who are affected by current problems...
eg from today....

Route affected
Liverpool Central, Moorfields, Sandhills, Kirkdale, Rice Lane, Fazakerley & Kirkby

Train operator affected

Description
A broken down train is causing disruption at Fazakerley [etc etc etc]

Also, nothing seems to move to the cleared disruptions page either...

NRE_Kathryn - Welcome and thanks for the updates.

I don't think this is quite the same problem that Dan is having, but if I go to http://www.nationalrail.co.uk/service_disruptions/currentAndFuture.aspx and I select the 15th of June from the calendar, I get redirected to an error page.

Hi, I'll report that to our supplier, but it's not something I can replicate at the moment :/

I was getting the same at the weekend on my mobile when trying to access current disruptions via my bookmark. They changed the end of the address from html to aspx and if you do the same it should work fine! Not sure why they changed it though?!

We've moved to a new content management system, we're hoping to get the fix for that tested tomorrow & working on the website by the end of the week.

Re NRCC page, this will be linked to from the search & Ask Lisa tomorrow. I'll also see if I can get it in the navigation too.

The groupsave calendar is currently being updated & again should be working soon.

Thank you very much for the first issue re TOC affected not showing on the mobile site, I've logged that now and we'll get it fixed ASAP.

Re cleared disruptions, thanks again, we're testing the fix for this today/tomorrow.

Thanks to everyone who commented :)

The booking horizons page www.nationalrail.co.uk/times_fares/booking_horizons.html keeps redirecting me to m.staging.nationalrail.co.uk and asking me to log in.

Are you trying to access on a phone? If so, I've managed to replicate the issue & will get it reported.

Can you try browsing to: http://www.nationalrail.co.uk/times_fares/ticket_types/44703.aspx ?

When I try to add Via stations into a Journey, it doesn't like it, and says I have already entered it, then when I try to add another one, it replaces the first one.

Not a new problem but I find the "via" facility often on the OJP just doesn't work and you get offered journeys that don't go via your chosen "via."

I found that, looking up a journey, and need to go via a place, but it doesn't take me via that place.

The via function has been buggy for months. You can supposedly have multiple via points, but adding a second one or changing the existing one has never worked for me. I always have to go back to the homepage and start again.

Myself and a colleague had problems trying to access the 'Service Indicator' page at work earlier. We use this as it's a good indication of how things are running across the network for people travelling further afield, and saves spending ages sifting through TRUST. It seems to be working now but many of these things seem to be intermittent.

Is this the same route problem to why Live Departure boards is not working properly?
http://www.nationalrail.co.uk/ldb/livedepartures.asp

Hi, where did you get that web address from? Please can you use: http://www.nationalrail.co.uk/times_fares/ldb.aspx

Via not working

OK, so a few of you have mentioned via points not working correctly. I can replicate the issue where you have >1 via location, but cannot replicate a problem where just 1 via is added. Those of you that are having problems with this, please can you give me the exact journey example? Thanks

I think it's very kind of forum members to be doing NRE's development and user acceptance testing for them - and on the live system as well...

There is one point that I would like to raise with you. Conon Bridge station has been open since February and whilst the train times to and from Dingwall are shown, the section regarding the ticket prices is still shown as being "not available".

How long does it take NRE to put new station ticket pricing information on that same section ?
