NRCoC - Ticket Validity until 04:29

Hi all,

After a bit of a discussion with a colleague of mine not believing that the 'railway day' runs until 04:29 on the day following the date printed on the ticket, I felt the need to revise my knowledge of the NRCoC - partly to prove them wrong and partly because I'm a bit rusty.

However, I can't find reference to this validity anywhere in the May 2012 version at www.nationalrail.co.uk/static/documents/content/NRCOC.pdf‎

Interestingly, this is mentioned in a thread here as being clarified in the 2011 revision, but having found that (here) I can't find the reference in rule 11 either.

Is there a 'full' version of the NRCoC or accompanying documents that I'm missing?

If you look on the National Rail Enquiries site under Train Times & Tickets, and then drill down via Ticket Types to the individual types and their conditions, you will find that the 0429 rule appears as part of the conditions relating to when you can use the various types of Anytime and Off-peak tickets.

Condition 11 of the NRCoC states the principles of ticket expiry, but the NRCoC is not a substitute for specific ticket conditions, hence these are shown under the relevant rules for Anytime and Off-peak tickets as stated above

Fair enough. I appreciate that the NRCoC isn't a subsitute for specific ticket conditions, but I would have thought that it would cover nonspecific conditions which are generic enough that only the minority of specific tickets require a separate term in their (overruling) terms.
