NR Oyster evening peak clarification?

Hi,

I don't know if anyone might be able to clarify this for me... I notice in the leaflet about NR use of Oyster that there is now an evening peak fare period as well as the morning one. Does this mean that if I start my journey after the morning peak and travel around all day, up to the off peak cap, and then take an evening peak train, that I might be charged the equivalent of a peak time travelcard fare for my day's travel?

If this is the case it might be cheaper for me to stick to a paper ticket...

No - the evening peak period does not apply to capping - only to single journey fares.

Thanks for clarifying - I actually went out yesterday and tried it for real, doing lots of tube and train plus a evening peak train too. It hit 7.50 and then no more charge, so it works. (which is nice)

Well, thats if my Oyster card arrives this week, which it should do - I ordered it Saturday night and it was dispatched Sunday night
