Charles, somewhere in there is a question 
The problem is that medicals are contracted out by many TOC's, and are a cattle market. You are seen, paperwork done, you are deemed fit or otherwise and you're sent on your merry.
They do not accept phone calls, for the most part, because whatever you've got to say you say on the day.
