Doing EIS for a project and other than the TC1 cannot find any certification for approving EIS from the Infrastructure Manager.
Back on Thameslink we had what I recall was a 'MAN 5' Certificate signed by the IM? Can't find anything in the standards catalogue though and (no longer being NR) don't have access.
Anyone advise?
I was going to suggest you ask your Designated Project Engineer, but I bet you'll say you're on Eastern and you are the DPE. This should be on the EiS checklist for the project. I'm no expert but would all works have an overarching certificate like a TC1? Civils works just seem to get a Form 5 for each bit as and when they're done (not much point checking the gauging a year later when the thing sat on it gets commissioned). Similarly track seem to return stuff like weld and stress certificates as and when they're done.
That is all gobbledygook to me
EIS: Entry Into Service, readiness to commission, so not just the infrastructure works complete to approved designs, but operators/maintainers/traincrew trained/briefed as required, maintenance strategy in place, asset databases updated etc etc etc etc etc
TC1: Signal Works Testing Master Test Certificate, certifying that all the subordinate certificates for all the tests/inspections of all the subsystems of what is being commissioned are complete and a signalling job is ready to be signed in to use.
