NR general maintenance 'standards'

I find the all 'too easy' excuses of recession for cost cutting in ANY line of business, let alone railways, but at our local station at Penzance, the station retaining wall's maintenance is a total joke, there are bushes and small tree's growing out of it everywhere, even on the roadside of the wall, the Council have done NOTHING about getting NR clearing the growths that are clearly affecting pavement access.
It's an eyesore, and no one seems to be bothered. It was cleared of all shrubs/weeds around 8 or 9 years ago and very poorly re pointed but now it's at its worst state/appearance that I can ever remember, surely someone is accountable for the 'upkeep' of such structures etc???
Any other areas that need immediate 'surgery'???

My local station is Canonbury which has just been extensively modernised as part of the London Overground works (only fully reopenned in Feb). However, shockingly, they put up overhead power supply equipment, including under what had been a disused bridge/tunnel (adjacent to platforms 3 & 4), and left the multitude of bushes/buddelia etc growing out of the brickwork above it....

How long before that needs major work/causes major damage.....
