Hi. Newby here. I have applied for the above role. Application submitted on 6th Oct. Now saying application in process. The job advert is still live and there is no closing date.
Has anyone else applied/heard anything.

Hi i applied however messed up my covering letter and attached the wrong letter big mistake so i hold little hope. However mine also says application in process. the job advert was taken down on Sunday i believe.
i am also at stage 2 with GWR. I really want to get in the industry and become a train driver, im lucky i have no commitments so i can relocate anywhere in the uk for the opportunity if i get that far so eyes peeled.

Thanks for the reply. I looked today and the advert is still live. There was a very short Grand Central trainee driver advert out of Blackpool that was taken down. I missed that one.

This ad has been live now for weeks with no indication of deadline. Anyone else applied?
And anyone got an idea how many NR are likely to be taking on.

Pretty sure you can go into your Deutsche Bahn account and take down your cover letter and change it.

thanks for this i done exactly that, i was worried with the application now closed it would withdraw my application but it seems to of gone through ok so fingers crossed.

Be aware guys that the HR department for Northern is very small and applications can and do take a while to progress.

I know that there is a course starting 9th of December for trainee drivers, but that’s at Leeds Academy so courses for Blackpool May differ.

I realise it's a waiting game. The ad said to start early 2020. I keep finding myself checking my emails every 10 mins
