I had a very bad headache today that I had to take a day off work. I notice that slow, chilled rnb and electronic music is helping to heal my headache but when I play dnb that I like it noticeably maintains or makes headache a bit worse.

Just discovered shoegaze at the age of 74! I just love this track... They remind me of the Cocteau Twins (maybe my favourite group except for one see later...)

I have this on my phone and when shopping with earbuds in I've been known to sing along -J'entends plus les hélicoptères... funny looks in Tesco!

And finally this - a kind of acoustic Bossa Nova version by the redoubtable cover band Nouvelle Vague - the so-sweet vocals give a whole new feel... God save the Queen... fascist régime... :D

I think nostalgic media would never be as prominent as it is without social media. Why? Because I think that although the traditional way of publishing media, through labels, and producing it in studios with high end quality gear definitely made sure that the artists were top tier it also meant there was a much lower limit to which ideas could flow through. For example a music artist wouldn’t be able to post short small ideas, such as mock ads, without having the freedom to publish it. Social media and the internet allows for the freedom I think. I think nostalgia, at the depth it’s at nowadays, would probably also be seen as not economically feasible, for the traditional ways of making media.
