Now watched this, skipped parts though. It's interesting, after 2016 I imagine it used real kids because it was probably more social media focused or got kids to create their own videos, I'm not sure I'm just guessing, and it had EDM influence as that was a popular genre at the time. 2002 onwards, I imagine the yellow background with black artwork was just seen as so old fashioned, even though that was a reaction to the previous logo and indent to probably try and be more inclusive to all types of kids, maybe even a reaction to doing too much with former era indents. The 1987 indent above just has cool music, the earlier indents looked less catered to kids but I imagine it was a time when more kids were latchkey kids and played outside much more so in a way childhood was more gritty and less soft. The 2010 era looks similar to BBC three at the time and went back to having a theme tune but became overdone to the point it became boring despite actually looking the most overstimulating to me, I guess that sums up the 10s though, overstimulating, regarding media. The latest indent appears to only have adults, understandably not many indents since now TV isn't the main way people will consume media. I wonder if it's a reaction to privacy and not getting kids into social media at a young age. The 2020's, in many ways, feel much more conservative compared to the 10's I think.
