It was just my clumsy way of saying that with your enthusiasm for, and encyclopaedic knowledge of, all things nautical you would be an ideal companion for a sailor seeking lively conversation over a glass of beer while far from home. Was that not obvious?

No... It was not

This track will be familiar to anyone who has heard the BBC trailer for Thursday's England vs Wales fixture, and also appeared on Match of the Day, Top Gear and others.

Gavin Bryars + Blake Morrison
Goole → Hull
Free audio download available
16 June – 16 July 2016
Part of Yorkshire Festival

For Yorkshire Festival 2016, two of the county’s most renowned artists, composer Gavin Bryars and poet Blake Morrison, joined forces to create a new work to be experienced on the stopping train journey from Goole (Bryars’ birthplace) to Hull (or vice versa).

The piece, called The Stopping Train, is designed specifically for this journey following the sequence of stations between Goole and Hull.

To make it clear though, I'm not currently traveling between Goole & Hull, and don't currently intend to

For those that read one of my posts in the Tea v Coffee debate, you might understand why I watched this entire soundtrack from a film... It is one of the same reasons that I do that, although this is one of my favourite films all the same

An excellent spoof of the original James Blunt song.

This was what was in my head when I took a running forward leap and somersault through the doors of a 185 I needed to catch and which physics and the GBTT said I could not catch

That bit at the end with the Captain going "Stop all engines - repel boarders..." Yeah, that was me alright! Actually, SS4, thats a more appropriate theme..

I love Sabaton! :D Don't know what their lyrics mean since they sing in Swedish, but most of their songs are translated into English also. Glad to find another fan here in the forum

Most of their discography is in English, apart from the Swedish version of Carolus Rex and a few other songs. I'd recommend seeing them live when they come to the UK next year -well worth £30 IMO
